How you’ll contribute
The following text outlines the responsibilities involved in monitoring adherence to the hospital’s utilization review plan, which ensures the appropriate use of hospital services, admissions, and extended stays.
Key responsibilities include:
– Establishing and maintaining efficient methods to verify the medical necessity and appropriateness of all hospital admissions.
– Conducting concurrent reviews of patients to confirm that any extended stays are medically justified and properly documented in their medical records.
– Calculating the lengths of stay and continued-stay days for patients.
– Maintaining communication with the Case Management Department to facilitate timely discharge planning..

* An associate’s degree required
* Bachelor’s degree Preferred
